The double album Flying Fortress - Back on the Fortress offers a reissue of a Tony Hymas album that left a lasting impression 33 years on.

As Serge Loupien wrote in Libération on December 5, 1988: « Flying Fortress is a typical example of what the music of the next ten years could (should?) be: a melting pot that is truly unclassifiable. Refreshing. »

The album made its way with a certain independence, willingly sampled, used in films or even experiencing a few covers (the Yelle duo). The reissue was a quiet necessity. 33 years later, for Back on the Fortress, Tony Hymas started out with ideas from that era, which have since found their way into subsequent ideas and the company of a few key encounters.

Le double album Flying Fortress - Back on the Fortress offre la réédition d’un album de Tony Hymas qui a marqué les esprits et son écho 33 ans plus tard.

Comme l'écrivait Serge Loupien dans Libération le 5 décembre 1988 : « Flying Fortress constitue l'exemple type de ce que pourrait (devrait?) être la musique de ces dix prochaines années : un creuset proprement inclassable. Rafraîchissant. »

L'album fit son chemin avec une certaine indépendance, volontiers samplé, utilisé dans des films ou même connaissant quelques reprises (le duo Yelle). La réédition s'impose tranquillement. 33 ans plus tard pour Back on the Fortress, Tony Hymas est reparti d'idées d'époque faisant leur chemin au travers d'idées ultérieures et en compagnie de quelques rencontres marquantes.
