about

With "À tort et au travers", the journey linking Jean-François Pauvros to nato records resumes in great fantasy more than 30 years after "Le Grand Amour" and "Hamster Attack". Here, the music connects vast experiences, even rereads them, fuelled by the emulative boldness of organist Antonin Rayon and drummer and singer Mark Kerr. The music can then play with existential radiations when suddenly, from the shattered case comes a song, a distraught mark of human understanding. The desire to sing transpires and asserts itself in a new way of blues kneaded with the sounds of the world.

More than a puzzle, an island perhaps, made up of passionate encounters, which made Francis Marmande write in Le Monde "The most original production of this time" (Sept. 10, 1992). ... more
